We ordered very basic items and they were all disgusting aside from the kids grilled cheese. The cheeseburger was so inedible that I had 2 bites before pushing it aside.

We stayed at Jay Peak for the weekend and decided to try out Bernies based on the reviews. Unfortunately I have no idea how this restaurant received all of these great reviews. This was by far the most uncomfortable dining experience my family has ever had. When we walked in we were brought to a 4 person table squeezed in to the middle of a small room in the very front of the restaurant. As we were seated a waitress very loudly said to the woman seating us that she had no way to walk by and asked why she sat us there. It was very clear that only locals were in the restaurant and even more abundantly clear when an older gentleman seared at a large table behind us very loudly said why are they still here, pointing to my family.

Bernie's was a nice break from the resort restaurants. I strongly recommend it if you're in the area.

Chef owned restaurant, where everything is ,made in-house. Great food, great portions and in addition to their regular menu they offer an additional Mexican menu on Mondays and Thursdays!

Very nice place. Food is just great. If you want to eat a homemade food, that's the place. We were really impressed. Plats are big portions. Waitress was always with a smile in her face. I would really recommend. The food is the best nearby. Don't lose time eating fries at the resort. Bernies, thank you for the good food. :)

My 6yo and 4yo both ordered spaghetti from the children's menu, which was a success. The children's chicken parm was a nice surprise. My wife and I each got one of the pasta dishes, which were delicious. Finally we had a huge sundae as dessert, we ordered one and it fed the whole family.

If you are not a local I would stay far far away - there are many better dining options a short distance away - try the Big Jay Tavern and you'll be much happier

We were given menus and no drinks were listed. The menu was standard fare and not realizing that there were any options we ordered water and soda. It would have been nice to have been told that the restaurant had a full bar or specifically what drink options there were.

Wanting to quickly leave the horribly uncomfortable environment we asked for the check and paid. As we were leaving the chef and waitresses stared at us as we walked out, not saying a thing.

We loved Bernies! I had the best Carbonara ever! We also enjoyed the breakfast there....and, thinking about going back for our last meal in town

We have two young children and every other word out of the mouth of a woman at the party behind us was a cuss word.

While staying at the nearby Jay Peak resort, we were looking for a nice dinner spot. Bernie's gave us a warm welcome from the minute we stepped in: the staff were courteous and efficient, exactly what we needed after the cold weather outside.
